THE ROAD AHEAD: WHAT TO EXPECT FROM BMW IN 2019
As a leader in innovation, technology, and performance, we expect big things from BMW in 2019. From impressive innovations in fuel efficiency and engine dynamics to wider technology offerings and successful motorsports endeavors, BMW is already poised to outdo itself this year. Here are a few of the biggest changes and events coming in 2019.
Lineup Changes
The BMW 3 Series is one of the most popular models from the automaker, and for 2019, it gets a makeover. On the outside, the 2019 3 Series maintains signature BMW styling, but with a new, more aggressive design language. Revised headlights and taillights, front air intakes, contoured panels, and twin pipe exhaust give the new model a fierce look. The interior benefits from a new approach that focuses on clean lines and driver orientation. Multiple drivetrain and powertrain options make the new 3 Series as versatile as it is stylish.
If you’re looking for more thrill, look no further than the all-new 2019 BMW Z4. This roadster will help you get the most out of any drive, with an aerodynamic design that echoes back to classic sports cars. It’s more than just looks, though. With available performance features like M Sport brakes, Adaptive M Sport suspension, and an M Sport differential on the Z4 M40i, every drive will feel like an opportunity to unleash this beast.
New Models
2019 BMW X7
If you’ve always loved the style and luxury offered by BMW, but found yourself craving more space, BMW is answering your need with the brand new 2019 X7. This is BMW’s biggest vehicle ever. Seating for up to seven has never felt more comfortable with air suspension, available ventilated and massage seats, and the latest technology, carpooling has never been more luxurious. Cutting-edge driver assistance systems work hard to keep you and your most important cargo safe.
2019 BMW X2 M25i
Last year’s release of the X2 left fans begging BMW to produce an even more sporty version of this Sports Activity Coupe. The 2019 X2 M25i doesn’t fail to deliver. Sport-tuned suspension, M Sport differential, upgraded brakes, and refined steering make the new variant of the X2 more responsive than ever. Exterior elements set the X2 M25i apart from the rest with Cerium Grey accents, side air intakes, a rear spoiler, and 19-inch wheels take the unique look of this vehicle a step further.
2019 BMW 8 Series
German muscle is embodied in the 2019 BMW 8 Series. With 523 horsepower and a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds from a stout V8, this raucous coupe delivers iconic style and performance from BMW. That power is evenly matched by well-engineered agility, thanks to the dialed-in suspension, steering, and all-wheel drive. Classic, muscular styling complements what's underneath with bold lines and the signature kidney grille.
Race to the Podium
After the debut of the BMW M4 DTM, there's no denying how great it will look and perform on the track in 2019. The 2-liter turbocharged engine received updates to meet new regulations. Cooling and aerodynamics were also improved, and the result is sure to bring on-track success in the upcoming race season. A former DTM driver, Augusto Farfus, will move into GT racing behind the wheel of an M6 GT3 and an M8 GTE. For 2019, he'll be competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as many other GT events globally.
