The All-New 2018 BMW X3

We love plenty of BMW models here at BMW of Catonsville, but one we're particularly fond of is the X3. That's why we're excited to announce that the all-new 2018 X3 was recently unveiled at BMW's Spartanburg plant in South Carolina. With its standout all-terrain driving capabilities and its unrestricted everyday usability, the BMW X3 is a vehicle that appeals to many. Here's what has us so excited about the latest (and greatest) X3.

The distinctive, bold exterior design

The front fascia features a muscular “three-dimensional” kidney grille with a hexagonal design and fog lights—these appearing for the first time on a BMW X model. The wheelbase has been extended by 2.2 inches, and there is the option to add in a factory-installed trailer hitch (which is the first time a BMW Sports Activity Vehicle in the U.S. has offered one). With its perfect 50:50 weight distribution between the front and rear axle, downward-sloping roof spoiler, twin exhaust tailpipes, and finely balanced proportions, the X3 packs a powerful design punch.

Stay in the loop with BMW Connected

Need a vehicle that keeps you entertained? The new X3 says, "No problem!" The 2018 model comes equipped with the iOS- and Android-compatible BMW Connected app, where all of your digital services are able to seamlessly connect to your car. Go beyond the smartphone and connect your wearables, from the Apple Watch to the Amazon Echo. BMW Connected can learn your routines, suggesting the optimal travel times for you to get to where you're going. It can also provide you with real-time traffic information and alert you to hazardous driving situations. With BMW Connected, your commute becomes a whole lot easier!

Your own personal CoPilot

The BMW Personal CoPilot, a comprehensive lineup of driver assistance systems, is truly one to behold. You'll stay safe and sound with features such as Active Blind Spot Protection, Lane Departure Warning, Speed Limit Info, and Daytime Pedestrian Detection, all of which are part of the Driving Assistance Package. Utilize the optional Head-Up Display to project important driving-related information into your field of vision (while safely allowing you to keep your eyes on the road). The unique Remote 3D View function can transmit a 360-degree, three-dimensional view of your X3's vicinity straight to your smartphone via the BMW Connected app.
